Ingredients

1 quart warm water
1 quart applesauce (sugar-free)
3 Tablespoons yeast
Enough whole wheat flour (10-12 cups)
4 teaspoons salt

Instructions

  1. Place water, applesauce, yeast and sunflower seeds in
    mixer.
  2. Turn mixer on and start adding flour, 1 cup at a time.
  3. After about 6 cups of flour, add the salt and continue adding flour, now slowing
    down, until the dough stops clinging to the side of mixing bowl. Dough is still quite
    sticky.
  4. Knead for about 10 minutes. Let rise in mixer bowl for a few min.
  5. Prepare drain board with water. Remove dough from mixer, divide into 8 and form
    into loaves. Pat your hands in water before touching dough.
  6. Place in pans. Let rise again until about double.
  7. Bake @ 350° for 50 minutes, or until bread easily slips out of pan and is golden.

Yeast

Guy is a dedicated vegan, who prefers natural remedies to treat root causes of physiological problems, instead of turning to medication to merely treat symptoms.
