Testimonial for Guy Siverson, Graceful Touch

For a number of years, I had constant issues with my neck.  Any over exertion would create a migraine headache.  If I lifted something too heavy, if I over reached and pulled my neck slightly, one time even reaching under my desk caused a headache.  I would then have go to my chiropractor to have my neck cracked, which would relieve the headache.  I could always feel “that spot” in my neck that was the trouble point.  My chiropractor attributed it to arthritis.  I tried a massage therapist, but still had the same neck issues as well as the normal aches and pains when getting started in the morning.

I decided to try a different massage therapist, and by luck, made an appointment with Guy Siverson at Graceful Touch.  He told me that it would take some time to “retrain” my muscles.  Initially I had a massage once per week.  After four months, I realized that my neck no longer had “that spot” that always hurt.  I also didn’t have the aches and pains when getting out of bed in the morning.  At this point, Guy recommended that we extend the massages to once every two weeks, which is my current schedule.

The results for me are amazing.  I no longer have to stop and think before doing any activity such as lifting bales or shoveling snow.  I don’t have to worry about “putting my neck out of place” and suffering the headaches.  I can do whatever I want without having to pay with pain later.  Incidentally, I have only been to see my chiropractor once since I have been working with Guy.

Guy is extremely professional and always conscious of proper etiquette.  There is no pain during his massage therapy, as he gently works the knots out of your muscles.

My advice to anyone who is considering massage therapy with Guy is….do so…you won’t regret it.  Remember that all your aches and pains cannot be fixed in one massage.  Give him time to make it work for you, you won’t be disappointed.

Guy is a dedicated vegan, who prefers natural remedies to treat root causes of physiological problems, instead of turning to medication to merely treat symptoms. When he learned in December 2017 he was suffering from high blood pressure (hypertension), he turned to massage as a potential answer for his problem. Rather than engage massage as a client, Guy chose to become a massage practitioner and enrolled in the Black Hills School of Massage in Hermosa, SD. He is now licensed to provide Swedish, Deep Tissue and Trigger Point massage among other modalities. He, and his wife Irene who is also a massage practitioner, have joined forces with the Fountain of Youth Waterstore in Rapid City where they provide clients with comforting relief from body aches and pains. Be sure to ask Guy what happened with his blood pressure when you see him for your initial treatment session.
